Chromatography is so fun woooo

In science, we have been learning about chromatography. If you didn't know, chromatography is separating colour pigments. For this experiment, we used permanent markers AKA vivids, on chromatography paper. We placed the paper with the colour in acetone. We used colours that we think are made of multiple colours.  I knew that green was made up of two colours, blue and yellow. As you can see in this photo, the green had started out with a bright green dot and then it faded into a nice teal colour. Then into a slight yellow tint that you can't exactly see on this photo. I think that this version of the experiment was successful.

In another variation of the experiment, instead of using vivids in acetone, we used felt markers in mentholated spirits. As you can see, the colour is not as bright as the other experiment we did. The vivids were a bit darker than the felts. As you can see with the purple in this experiment, since it is made up of blue and red, the pigment fades into a slight hint of blue, this is because of the colours are separating. If we left the paper in the mentholated spirits, I think that the blue would continue then fade into another colour which would be red.  I like the other variation of the experiment, with the vivids.

Here are all of our results....

WAR IS POINTLESS, WHO WOULD"VE THOUGHT?

Today we have been planning our latest project for drama. Our performance is based off ANZAC day. We have been practising multiple skills like movement and silence by playing various drama games like sneak up on granny, freeze and focus and tequila. All of those games use different skills that you need for drama. We have started a slide that we have included all of our ideas and prop ideas. I am working with Molly and Jessica. Here is the link to our google slide. Link. This photo says "LEST WE FORGET" this is to commemorate all of the soldiers that fought in World War one. Personally, I think that war is pointless and nothing is going to come out of fighting and brutality.
